Float Bloat Burst

Earlier this year I worked on a project with artist John Oliver Lewis on an installation. Here is the link to the show in Texas at the 500x Gallery.

The piece was later selected to be the centerpiece at
Introductions North. Some info about Introductions North is below.

Introductions North is a collaboration between the Greater Denton Arts Council and the contemporary art galleries of Dallas to introduce the work of emerging artists. Artist John Oliver Lewis is representing 500X Gallery in the exhibition. Lewis' latest work spans the genres of sculpture, installation and animation and explores the ideas and limitations inherent to specific materials by applying formal considerations and narrative to an experimental approach. In this exhibition, John Oliver Lewis will be showing his whimsical and sophisticated, colorful ceramic and acrylic sculptures as well as the second installment of Float Bloat Burst. This collaboration with artist Alex Soto, features the bubble-gum, cloud- like, blobby forms that Lewis is known for, suspended in the air with an animated projection.
